PETROL HOAX EMAIL
I have been receiving a heap load of emails in regards to don't buy petrol on the 22nd of September (check original text version at the end of this spiel). After doing a bit of research on the net I have found it is a hoax, please let everyone know who you guys may have forwarded it to, as it will waste their time if they complete the task.

This is one of many hoax emails that have been going around for the last 5 years. If you believe that by starving fuel companies for one day and not buying their fuel will do anything about it, then you also believe that Trigg Point gets to 10 foot in summer and peels for 900 metres. Forget about it, never happen.

Even if you stopped buying fuel for a whole week, they would not give a ratz arse because they know that eventually you will have to buy some.

Some of these emails are generated by hackers. I can and you can and many others can just simply hop on the net and again go into yahoo or google and find many things. Sometimes these emails that some of these hackers get out can have keystroke programs embedded in the email. You do not even know it, as there are no attachments or if they want they embed them into a jpg image and then let it go through your hard drive after you open it.

Some are even generated to obtain email address list and while you forward it on it forwards the info off to the hacker/person who created the hoax. Cool huh.

Not buying petrol on 22nd of this month won't affect the oil companies' sales or profits. Because everyone who doesn't buy petrol on the 22nd will buy it the next day or the day after or when their car runs out of juice and who knows they might put it up another ten cents a litre just to piss you off after the day of the boycott.
