WHAT'S WITH THE SHARKSMART MAP ON THE WEBSITE YOU MAY ASK?

What's with the sharksmart map on the web site you may ask?

This has been added because there are too many confusing apps, sighting reports etc, etc going around on the net. Some of which are a little misinterpreted.
It's not there to create fear, its there for you to use and be made aware of what's happening.

The SHARKSMART website has seen the Government spend a lot of money on trying to keep people safe and it is the site you should be reporting any shark sighting or interactions to, so the word can get out and people can know there has been a shark seen in area.

No point in telling someone later that you had seen a shark out earlier during the day at your favorite break, you need to report it so everyone is aware.

If you see a shark report it by ringing this number 9442 8600 do it if you've seen one, you may be saving someones life.
