SHARK WARNING CAPE HAMELIN TO EAGLE BAY

A shark WARNING has been issued for the area between Cape Hamelin and Eagle Bay in the South West after an increased number of reported shark sightings.

A number of unknown species of shark, and tiger sharks, have been reported 23 times over the period 10 March to 12 March inclusive.

It is possible that the frequency or duration of the recent reported sightings may increase the likelihood of encountering a shark in this area.

The change in activity may be due to a possible change in environmental conditions with schools of Australian Salmon being seen in the area over the last three days.

Check out the Sharksmart link on the right hand side of the surf report page or visit www.sharksmart.com.au/shark-activity for more info and warnings.
