WEEKEND SURF FORECAST 09-10 July 2016



Large swell forecast for the weekend, but unfortunately a lot of wind to go with it. Wind generated swell that will drop quickly going into Sunday by midday/afternoon. With the wind and swell will come unsafe surfing conditions on all the open ocean breaks. Swell and wind will be short lived into the later part of the weekend.

PERTH/MANDURAH

Saturday
Fresh S winds in the morning swinging fresh to strong SW to W/SW around midday, becoming strong SW into the afternoon. Wave heights along the beach breaks around the head high plus mark the norm with the reef breaks producing much of the same.

Sunday
Strong S/SW winds in the morning becoming moderate to fresh S/SW into the afternoon. Head high plus along the beach breaks with much of the same on offer along the reef breaks.



MARGARET RIVER

Saturday
Strong to gale force SW winds in the morning increasing to gale force SW winds into the afternoon. Wave heights twelve to fifteen foot plus with fifteen to eighteen footers into the afternoon.

Sunday
Strong to gale force S/SW winds in the morning moderating to fresh to strong into the afternoon. Wave heights in the twelve to fifteen foot range with the odd bigger rogue set, dropping into the ten to fourteen foot range by the afternoon.
